Clarity, Please!

Ok, would it just be too nerve-strainingly difficult for whoever writes stock proxy statements to actually write in a way that general audience member investors would be able to understand without complete brain strain???
Same goes for whoever writes ballots! (But then I suspect them of making things difficult on purpose. And not a good purpose.)
Obviously there are a lot of people who need to read and heed the chapters on simplicity and clutter and business writing in William Zinsser's On Writing Well. And the info in Strunk and White's Elements of Style too. And "The Philosophy of Composition" in Richard D. Altick's The Art of Literary Research.
Clarity, please!
